In Q1, there were 2,009 new buildings completed in Lithuania

In I quarter 2020, there were 2,009 new residential and non-residential buildings completed, i.e. by 14.2% more than in the respective quarter of 2019. Over the quarter, 1,856 new residential buildings with 3,462 dwellings were completed, of which 60.2% – in individual houses.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, Estonian museums were visited slightly more than 3.5 million times, which is 100,000 visits more than the year before.

Latest data of the Central Statistical Bureau show that in the 1st quarter of 2020 the number of foreign and resident visitors comprised 399.5 thousand which is 13.1% less than in the 1st quarter of 2019. As compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of nights spent by visitors has reduced by 10.5% and comprised 815.9 thousand nights. Visitors spent an average of 2 nights at tourist accommodation establishments.

Pasazieru Vilciens rail company to reopen Riga-Valga-Riga route on Saturday

Since the governments of the Baltic states have decided to reopen the countries' internal borders for free travel of their citizens and residents, Latvia's Pasazieru Vilciens rail company is resuming service on its Riga-Valga-Riga route as of this Saturday, the company's representative Agnese Licite informed LETA.
