Blue Water awarded logistics contract for Nord Stream 2

Nord Stream 2 AG the project developer of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline through the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany awarded Wasco Coatings Europe BV the contract for concrete weight coating, storage and logistics of the 200,000 pipes required for the project. Wasco has now awarded Blue Water Shipping A/S of Esbjerg, Denmark, a contract for the transport, handling and storage of 113,000 of the pipes. The remaining 87,000 pipes are shipped directly from the coating facilities to the pipelay vessels.

FY profit of Eesti Gaas jumps to EUR 7.4 mln

The sales revenue of the Estonian gas seller AS Eesti Gaas decreased 8.6 % year over year to 115.7 mln euros in 2016, whereas net profit surged to 7.4 mln euros from 485,000 euros in 2015, reported LETA/BNS.

The natural gas supply and trading company Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas (LDT), part of the state-controlled Lietuvos Energija energy company group signed a contract with the U.S. Cheniere Marketing International and purchased a LNG cargo. Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas will store a part of natural gas purchased at a lower price in summer in Latvian Incukalns natural gas storage facility, LDT informed BC.

Russian businessman Igor Makarov, the owner of international group Areti (formerly Itera), is interested in shares belonging to Itera Latvija in Latvijas Gaze and Conexus Baltis Grid natural gas companies, Itera Latvija board chairman Juris Savickis said LETA.
