New LNG shipment from US arrives in Lithuania's Klaipeda

A new LNG shipment from the United States has been delivered to the Klaipeda-based LNG terminal in Lithuania, marking a fourth such delivery in the new gas year that started in October, writes LETA/BNS.

For the first time, the BW Lilac LNG tanker arrived in Klaipeda, bringing some 155,000 cubic meters of LNG from the Cameron LNG production facility in Hackberry, Louisiana.


294-meter long and 46-meter wide, BW Lilac with the standard capacity of 174,000 cubic meters was built in 2018 and sails under Malta's flag.


A total of nine LNG shipments have been delivered to the Klaipeda LNG terminal since the start of its operation.


The BW Lilac LNG tanker docked at the Lithuanian FSRU Independence on Wednesday morning, based on information on the vessel tracking websites marinetraffic.com, vesselfinder.com and myshiptracking.com
