University of Tartu to establish intellectual property investment company
07.12.2020The council of the University of Tartu on Nov. 30 , 2020 decided to establish the company UniTartu Ventures OU, adding an opportunity to direct the intellectual property created by University of Tartu researchers to research- and technology-intensive companies, informs LETA/BNS.

07.12.2020Results of European Health Interview Survey (EHIS) conducted by Central Statistical Bureau show that in 2019, the condition of teeth and gums was assessed as good and very good by 45.8 % of the population, and as bad or very bad - by every fifth inhabitant of Latvia (20.0%).
Lithuanians use contactless payment cards more often than an average European consumer
07.12.2020Although the use of cash is declining, it remains the most popular means of payment at points of sale (POS) and in person to person (P2P) payments not only in Lithuania but throughout the entire euro area as well. Payment cards are the second most popular payment instrument in both Lithuania and the euro area as a whole. Over one in two card payments in Lithuania are made using contactless technology (in the euro area – more than one third of all payments), informed Bank of Lithuania.

In November, the consumer price index in Estonia was more affected by motor fuel and electricity
According to Statistics Estonia, the consumer price index increased by 0.1% in November compared to October. Compared to November of the previous year, the index decreased by 1.1%, goods were 1.2% and services 0.9% cheaper.
