Lithuania sees fastest growth in new car sales in Baltics in 2019

Among the Baltic countries, the biggest growth in new car sales year over year was seen in 2019 in Lithuania, where the number of new cars sold was bigger by 43.2% than in 2018, the Estonian association of car dealers and service companies AMTEL announced.
The annual rates of growth were 8% in Latvia and 4.7 % in Estonia.
Overall in the European Union, 15.34 mln new cars were sold during the year, 1.2% more than in 2018.
Of the biggest markets, Germany finished the year with an increase of 5%, France of 1.9% and Italy of 0.3%. Britain and Spain meanwhile posted reductions of 2.4% and 4.8%, respectively.
