Exports of oil products from Latvia up 3.7% in 9 months

The amount of oil products exported from Latvia under the deferred excise tax payment regime in the first nine months of 2020 was by 10,541 tons or 3.7% higher than the amount exported during the same period a year ago, writes LETA, according to the information from the Excise Goods Administration of the Latvian State Revenue Service.

During the nine-month period, 291,684 tons of oil products (fuel) were shipped from excise storehouses in Latvia, applying the deferred excise tax payment. Of that amount 273,490 tons of oil products were delivered to other European Union member states.


Diesel fuel exports declined by 25,112 tons or 28.6% year-on-year to 62,667 tons in January-September 2019.


At the same time, exports of liquefied natural gas rose 9.2% to 95,476 tons.


Exports of bio-diesel dropped 13.1% year-on-year to 49,681 tons.


Bio-gasoline exports were down 35.9% to 12,563 tons in January-September 2020.
