BC, Tallinn, 31.07.2020.Print version
Listed port company Tallinna Sadam is about to formally open the fully renovated Terminal D of the Old City Harbor of Tallinn on Friday, informs LETA/BNS.
Reconstruction work at the terminal started in the summer of 2018. The works costing 18.5 million euros gave the terminal a new and modern look and almost doubled the building's total floor area to 14,000 square meters.
The architectural design and interior design of the building are by architects Irina Raud, Ain Kalberg, Anna Temmo and Erkki Tammeleht from the company R-Konsult.
The terminal originally completed in 1996 serves Tallink ships plying the Finland and Sweden routes and, prior to the reconstruction, over six million passengers passed through the terminal annually.
