Estonia's Bolt launches electric bike sharing service in Paris
The electric bike rental service is part of a plan by which the company plans to reduce the ecological footprint of its operations, Bolt said.
To achieve this, Bolt will add more rental and electric vehicles to the platform, among other things. The aim is to reduce Bolt's carbon emissions in the European transport sector by at least 5 mln tons by 2025.
Electric bikes can be rented from the same Bolt application where customers can hail a car ride. At the end of the ride, the user can park the bike in a special parking area. The exact areas are marked on the map in the application.
The Bolt application also includes a safety guide that contains safety tips, reminders regarding local traffic regulations and recommendations related to the COVID-19 crisis.
