BC, Riga, 26.05.2020.Print version
Latvia's Printful print-on-demand company will invest EUR 1.8 million in a new Canada-based printing operation, the company's representatives told LETA.

Printful plans to open its production and delivery center in the Canadian city of Mississauga near Toronto this year. A team of 50 people will be working one the nearly 3,000 square meter premises for the next three years, providing printing and embroidery services.

The initial investment in the plant is planned at EUR 1.8 million.

This will be Printful's first workshop in Canada and seventh in the world. Printful will operate it alongside its other workshops in the US, Mexico, Spain and Latvia. "Printful has a large client base in Canada, so setting up the production and delivery center there is a logical step to strengthen our position in this market. We see the potential for becoming one of the industry's leaders in Canada," said Printful CEO and co-founder Davis Siksnans.

The company's representatives indicated that Canada is Printful's second largest market after the U.S. The Latvian company will set up its production and delivery center in collaboration with Invest in Canada agency, business advisers from Toronto Global and the Latvian Embassy in Canada.

Printful Latvia, registered in 2017, has a share capital of EUR 350,000.

As reported, Printful turned over USD 116 million (EUR 106.7 million) in 2019, an increase of 49.6% against a year before.
