In Latvia, 51% of the surveyed population use computers that are more than four years old, writes LETA, according to a survey conducted by the Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei in the Baltic States.

The survey also found that almost a quarter or 23% of respondents still work with a computer more than six years old on a daily basis.

According to the survey, the most important criterion for choosing a laptop right after the price is performance, which is highlighted by 72% of respondents.

Two-thirds indicate that the size of the memory is important. The third most important feature is the battery life. However, the design and brand are less relevant and are mainly appreciated by younger users.

The Huawei survey found that laptops are the most common type of computer used in Latvia - 74% of Latvian residents use them on a daily basis.

The survey in the Baltic States was commissioned by the technology company Huawei in cooperation with the research company Rait Group in August this year. 404 Latvians, 402 Lithuanians and 406 Estonians aged 25 to 35 participated in the survey.
