Karbauskis remains Lithuania's richest MP
Karbauskis' assets increased by over 8 million euros last year, from 16.1 million euros in 2018, mostly due to newly-declared residential property worth 7 million euros and other real property worth half a million euros.
Also, the politician and his wife increased their savings by around 700,000 euros.
The declared assets of the family of Gabrielius Landsbergis, the leader of the Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats, the largest opposition party, soared by 12.8 million euros to 14.5 million euros last year, from slightly less than 1.9 million euros in 2019, after his wife declared the ownership of shares worth almost 12.9 million euros. Austeja Landsbergiene owns a chain of private kindergartens and schools.
The list of Seimas millionaires also includes Social Democratic MP Bronius Bradauskas with 8.3 million euros, Liberal MP Kestutis Glaveckas with almost 1.5 million euros, and conservative MP Kazys Starkevicius with 1 million euros.
MP Robertas Sarknickas of the Lithuanian Farmers and Green Union increased his declared assets to 6,000 euros last year, from 1,000 in 2018.
His fellow party member, Agne Sirinskiene, is at the bottom of the list with declared assets worth 5,000 euros, up from 4,400 euros in 2018.
