Ukrainian airline Eleron to start regular cargo transportation to Riga

Print versionUkrainian airline Eleron will launch regular cargo transportation from Kyiv Zhuliany airport to Riga, said Riga International Airport's spokeswoman Laura Karnite.

She said that the first Eleron jet will land at the Riga airport on January 17. It will be An-26 aircraft.
Eleron will fly from Zhuliany to Riga once a week, but in the future the number of flights will be increased and Lviv-Riga route will be added.
An-26 aircraft may carry 5.5 tons of cargo.
Eleron was established in 2013 and it has bases in Lviv and Zhuliany airports.
International Airport Riga last year handled almost 27,300 tons of cargo which is by 3.5% less than in 2018.
International Airport Riga is the largest air traffic hub in the Baltic states.
