Ziemelis' company buys Siemens, Cido arenas, ticket seller Tiketa

Gediminas Ziemelis, a shareholder and board chairman of the aviation business group Avia Solutions Group, is acquiring the companies operating the Siemens arena in Vilnius and Cido arena in Panevezys as well as ticket selling company Tiketa, informs LETA/BNS.

DG21 confirmed it to BNS that DG21, a company controlled by Ziemelis is investing in long-term real estate projects, have signed a contract on the acquisition of Universali Arena, a company that owned the Siemens arena, and another three companies.


"The contract will be completed once the Competition Council's approval is received," DG21 told BNS.


The company refrains from providing more information yet, Avia Solutions Group's communication director Vilma Vaitiekunaite told BNS.


Arunas Maciuitis, one of Universali Arena's shareholders, told BNS the transaction also involves the Cido arena in Panevezys, ticket seller Tiketa and event organizer SEVEN Live.


"I would like to refrain from further comment, I believe enough information has ben provided. We just don’t comment on the reason, why, when and what," he said, adding that the value of the deal is not disclosed due to the agreement of the parties involved.


In his words, the contract was signed "several days ago".
