The Special Investigation Service (STT) continues its investigation into alleged large scale influence peddling by an organised group. On 28 May 2015, the STT seized documents related to public procurement tenders from the Fire and Rescue Department, the Lithuanian Road Administration, the Property Management and Economy Department and state enterprise providing secure network and ICT services Infrastruktura, reports LETA/ELTA.

In late 2014, the STT launched an investigation into possibly opaque public tender of information services organised by the Ministry of the Interior.

During the initial stage of the investigation, a dozen of searches and seizures were carried out at workplaces and homes of five people and at the headquarters of political party the Order and Justice.

The investigation expanded after data was collected over possibly opaque public procurement tender worth over EUR 7.8 million which was organised by the Ministry of the Interior in 2013-2014.

In March 2015, documents were seized at the Ministry of Environment, state enterprise Regitra and four private limited companies. These actions were carried out investigating opaque public procurements worth over EUR 2.6 million.
