Mainor, Nordecon sign contract on EUR 30 mln commercial building at Ulemiste
The new building, to be named after Alma Tomingas, will have 11 floors and one underground floor with a total enclosed net area of 22,400 square meters, Mainor informed the stock exchange.
The building to be located at the address 7 Sepise Street will meet the requirements of the LEED Gold certificate.
The cost of the works is over 22 million euros plus value added tax, the total investment is 30 million euros, and the works will be completed by the end of 2022.
The construction of the most expensive building of Ulemiste City will start at the beginning of December. The idea of the building and its principal design are by Pluss architects.
Alma Tomingas, who is to lend her name to the building, was an Estonian pharmacist, head of the Chair of Pharmacognosy and later dean of the Medical Faculty at the University of Tartu, who was the first Estonian woman to become a professor.
The main activity of Mainor Ulemiste is the development of Ulemiste City. As of today, the 36- hectare district has 150,000 square meters of rentable office space in which over 10,000 people work at about 500 companies. It is estimated that by 2025, 20,000 people will live, work and study in the district.
Nordecon is a listed group of construction companies whose core business is construction project management and general contracting in the buildings and infrastructures segment. Geographically the Group operates in Estonia, Sweden, Finland and Ukraine. The parent of the Group is Nordecon AS, a company registered and located in Tallinn, Estonia. The consolidated revenue of the group in 2019 was 234 million euros.
