The international education technology company Mindvalley is expanding its business in Estonia and is about to increase its employee numbers here severalfold as part of its vision to become the biggest provider of future education globally, informs LETA/BNS.

Mindvalley, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, has said it aims to offer education equal to that provided at the world's best universities for just 500 US dollars, or some 400 euros a year, and also reinvent education based on future needs.

Mindvalley also has set its sights on listing in the next few years and is planning to raise its global employee numbers to 500. Mindvalley's Tallinn office at present employs 25 people. Mindvalley founder Vishen Lakhiani relocated from Malaysia to Estonia this summer.

It is also the Tallinn office of Mindvalley where the biggest increase in employee numbers is expected.

Mindvalley wants to shake up the global education system. Technology plays a big role in that. In our plans, we bring together artificial intelligence, virtual reality and social networking of a new kind, among other things, to support a personalized education and simultaneously to build a supporting community. A big part of that work is done with the help of Estonian talents. By the end of 2021, we wish to offer the world's most advanced education technology platform," Lakhiani said.

Mindvalley believes that traditional education will soon become obsolete -- Google, Tesla, Microsoft and many more have said that they don’t hire for degrees, they hire for skills and mindset. Mindvalley describes itself as the answer to a broken education system, reinventing what education means by creating a more relevant, more democratized, and more meaningful education experience.

Currently some 15 million people all over the world are users of Mindvalley lectures, programs and apps. The headquarters of Mindvalley in Kuala Lumpur employ a workforce of approximately 300 people.

In the summer of 2018, the large-scale international event, Mindvalley University, was held in Tallinn for the first time, as part of which some 1,000 people from all over the world participated in a unique education program at Tallinn Creative Hub during one month. Tallinn is about to host Mindvalley University again in the summer of 2021.
