Each year, as part of the week, the Awards for VET Excellence recognize individuals and organisations for their efforts in promoting and offering high-quality vocational education and training. This year, Magnetic MRO was nominated for their training at work program, created together with Estonian Aviation Academy with the aim to provide students with extensive hands-on working experience. In addition, the program was tailored to workforce issues, concerning the aviation industry, in mind.

"I am extremely pleased that the cooperation between Magnetic MRO and the Estonian Aviation Academy has been noticed and is so highly valued at the European level," Ene Krinpus, HR manager at Magnetic MRO, said.

"This victory is a recognition not only for Magnetic MRO or the Aviation Academy but for entire Estonia because putting Estonian aviation education so strongly on the map of Europe is a great achievement in itself. We are doing the right thing and will continue to popularize aviation in cooperation with the Estonian Aviation Academy, despite today’s difficult situation in the aviation sector," she said.

Eva Lastik, vocational education and training coordinator at the Estonian Aviation Academy said that the victory became a surprise, but she believed that all the prerequisites were met. "We can see that our students are very motivated and it is for sure due to great corporate partners, who offer the best opportunities for the students.”
