BC, Riga, 28.10.2020.Print version
The Latvian Investments and Development Agency (LIAA) in the first nine months of this year attracted investments worth EUR 204 million, said LIAA director Kaspars Rozkalns in an interview with the Latvian public radio today, cites LETA.
He said that the amount of investments attracted during the first nine months of this year exceeded last year's amount twice - in 2019 LIAA attracted EUR 100 million in investments.
"As Latvia got through the first wave [of Covid-19 pandemic] successfully and we managed to tell this story to the world, we attracted investors' attention," said Rozkalns, adding that the amount of investments in the world dropped by 30%.
He also said that Latvia is focusing on attracting such investors that export goods or services.
