Lithuania's cumulative direct investment abroad grows to EUR 4.4 b

Lithuania's cumulative direct investment abroad totaled 4.4 bn euros in late June, Statistics Lithuania, the country’s statistics office, and the Bank of Lithuania said in a joint press release on Wednesday.
Some 87% of Lithuania's overall direct investment was in EU
member states and 73% – in the euro area countries.
The largest investment flows were to Latvia (1 bn euros),
Cyprus (845.7 mln euros), and Estonia (819.4 mln euros).
In the second quarter alone, the flow of Lithuania’s direct
investment abroad was positive at 35.5 mln euro, which was due to an increase
of 44.3 mln euros in investment in equity instruments.
