Harju Elekter in Sweden to upgrade electrical substation for EUR 3.5 mln

The Swedish subsidiary of listed Estonian electrical equipment manufacturer Harju Elekter Group, SEBAB AB, signed a 3.5 million euro electrical project contract with the administrative body Region Stockholm, which is responsible for public transport; the contract will be the basis for the major refurbishment of the Slussen metro station's substation, informs LETA/BNS.

The year-long project will commence this September, Harju Elekter told the stock exchange.


Region Stockholm is responsible for the development and administration of local public transport. Reconstruction of the metro station is part of the extensive reconstruction of the Slussen area of Stockholm, which includes the construction of new facilities and the transformation of transport by 2025.


The main business activity of Harju Elekter is the development, production and sale of equipment required for the distribution and transmission of electricity. The main business activity is supported by the sheet metal production factory in Estonia, as well as the development and leasing of industrial real estate. A total of 800 specialists are employed in the Estonian, Finnish, Swedish and Lithuanian factories of Harju Elekter, with the group's six-month sales revenue amounting to 74 million euros in 2020. Shares of Harju Elekter are listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn stock exchange.
