Confido to open fee-based walk-in clinic in Tartu

Estonian private medical company Confido will open a fee-based walk-in clinic in the Tartu Lounakeskus shopping center in December, the clinic will also receive clients in the evenings, on weekends and during the holidays, informs LETA/BNS.

"In Tartu, we will open a modern walk-in clinic for the people of South Estonia that will be almost twice as big as the previous ones, covering almost 270 square meters, and where people can also turn to with their health concerns on a so-called first-come, first-served basis," Confido Healthcare Group board member Tarmo Karsna said in a press release.


The clinic will be opened next to the main entrance of the Lounakeskus shopping center and it will have entrances from both within the shopping center and from the street. Construction will begin in September.


People can go to the walk-in clinics with minor injuries, when feeling unwell or for various health examinations, both by booking an appointment as well as on a first-come, first-served basis. For example, ultrasound examinations, quick birthmark check-ups, vaccinations and various tests are performed at the walk-in clinic.


Clients can also apply for a health certificate for both a driving license and a weapons permit and medical certificates are also issued. The doctors of the walk-in clinic can also open a certificate for sick leave and extend prescriptions if necessary. In addition, it is possible to turn to mental health professionals.


There is also an occupational health service where it is possible to undergo a health examination by an occupational health doctor, nutrition and addiction counseling is also offered.


Confido's first two walk-in clinics are located in the Nautica Keskus and Lasnamae Centrum shopping centers in Tallinn. Appointments are subject to a fee.


The companies belonging to the Confido group include a total of more than 200 different health care providers. In addition, the group includes Perearsti Nouandeliin OU, which manages the family doctor's hotline 1220.
