Estonia: Subsidiary of Nordecon signs EUR 10.7 mln public road maintenance contract

Tariston AS, a company of the listed Estonian construction group AS Nordecon, has entered into contract with the Estonian Road Administration for year-round public road maintenance in Jarva maintenance area for the period of 2020-2025 for a total of nearly 10.7 mln euros, reported LETA/BNS.

According to the contract, Tariston is to maintain approximately 950 kilometers of public roads in Jarva County. First year's contract value for maintenance works is 2.13 mn euros plus value added tax, Nordecon told the stock exchange.


"The contract will run for five years, during which we'll be able to employ new specialists and upgrade our machinery fleet. We're planning to acquire more efficient and environmentally friendly road maintenance equipment," Alvar Aedma, road maintenance manager at Tariston, said.


Nordecon is a group of construction companies whose core business is construction project management and general contracting in the buildings and infrastructures segment. Geographically the group operates in Estonia, Sweden, Finland and Ukraine. The parent of the Group is Nordecon AS, a company registered and located in Tallinn, Estonia.


The consolidated revenue of the group in 2019 was 234 mln euros. Currently Nordecon Group employs close to 710 people. Since May 18, 2006, the company's shares have been quoted in the main list of the Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange.

The main areas of activity of Tariston AS are construction of infrastructure objects and facilities and year-round maintenance of state roads.
