Departures of Tallink's Romantika ferry are scheduled for August 21 on the Riga-Helsinki-Riga route and for September 4 on the Riga-Mariehamn (Aland Islands)-Riga route.

Tallink Latvija CEO Hillard Taur  said that the extra cruises have been added in response to strong demand from passengers. 

At present, Tallink offers three additional Romantika trips from Riga to Helsinki and two to the Alands. On August 7 a special trip is planned on the Riga-Helsinki-Riga route, on August 10 on the Riga-Aland Islands-Riga route, on August 21 on the Riga-Helsinki-Riga route and on September 4 on the Riga-Aland Islands-Riga route.

The company's representatives informed that in June and July this year, Tallink carried over 77,000 passengers and 4,000 transport vehicles on its new routes, with more than 3,500 hotel bookings registered in connection with these trips. Around 40 of Tallink passengers are aged 35 to 55, followed by young people and seniors (17 percent and 13 percent respectively).
