Ave Metsla, board member and head of services at TS Laevad, said that 28,444 passengers and  11,165 vehicles were carried on the Rohukula-Heltermaa route between the mainland and the island of Hiiumaa during the week, respectively 1 percent and 3 percent more than during the same week last year.

On the Virtsu-Kuivastu route between the mainland and the island of Muhu and Saaremaa, 62,449 passengers and over 25,962 vehicles were carried.

"July 19 marked a record in passenger numbers this year for both the Hiiumaa and the Saaremaa/Muhu routes," Metsla said in a press release.

On Sunday, July 19, TS Laevad carried 12 844 passengers between Virtsu and Kuivastu and 5,444 between Rohukula and Heltermaa. On Friday, July 17, a new record in the carriage of vehicles was set for 2020 with 6,784 vehicles carried on the two lines combined.
