Estonia: ELMO Rent buys 15 electric vehicles from Volkswagen

The short-term electric car-rental company ELMO Rent has bought 15 Volkswagen e-up electric vehicles from the Mustamae sales and service center of car dealership Moller Auto.
According to ELMO Rent management board member Enn Laansoo
Jr., the company plans to increase its fleet of electric cars and acquire a
total of at least 75 new cars this year, ELMO and Volkswagen said.
Laansoo Jr. added that after the addition of new vehicles
and the withdrawal of older models, the fleet should consist of 120 cars by the
end of the year.
The Volkswagen e-up has a maximum driving range of 260
kilometers on a single charge. The car's estimated energy consumption is 12.7
kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers and its power is 61 kilowatts or 83
horsepower. The top speed of the vehicle is estimated at 130 kilometers per
hour.
In Estonia, the base price of the car is 23,200 euros.
