Riga Airport sees number of passengers grow 12.2% in January

Riga International Airport handled 524,400 passengers in the first month of 2020, which is an increase of 12.2% against the same period in 2019, according to information released by the airport writes LETA.
The number of transit passengers in January rose by 17.3%. - almost 142,000 passengers chose Riga airport for transit to destinations in Europe and Asia.
In January 2020, Riga International Airport handled 6,500 flights, up 4.1% y-o-y.
The airport’s cargo turnover rose almost 3% y-o-y.
As reported, in 2019, the airport received 7.798 mln passengers, up 10.5% against 2018.
Riga International Airport is the largest air traffic hub in the Baltic states.
