Freight handling by Estonian ports up 32.5% on year in December

Estonian ports handled 3.6 mkn tons of cargoes in December, 32.5% more than during the same month in 2018, reported LETA/BNS.
Loading of goods increased 3% year on year to approximately 2.5 mln tons and unloading surged 37.2% to 1.1 mln tons, it appears from data provided by Statistics Estonia.
During 2019, Estonian ports handled 37.6 mln tons of cargoes, 4.7% more than the year before. The loading of goods amounted to 25.3 mln tons and unloading to 12.2 mln tons.
