Estonian renewable energy producer opens solar plants in Poland
Sunly's first seven solar farms with more than 20 000 Sharp solar panels have a total capacity of 7 megawatt (MW).
"We are delighted that the first year of Sunly is becoming a success. Opening our first solar plants is a significant milestone, making us a power production company," Priit Lepasepp, CEO and one of the founders of Sunly, said.
Lepasepp added that Sunly will continue to grow at high speed by investing approximately 25 mln euros in Poland and building new solar farms in northwestern and southeastern Poland.
Sunly is a renewable energy and cleantech innovation company that is active in the Baltics and surrounding markets. It develops renewable energy projects through Sunly Infra and manages a renewable energy and electrification portfolio of startups through Sunly Startup. Sunly Land is the company bringing together the assets of Sunly.
Sunly was established by the Nelja Energia team after Nelja Energia shares were sold to Enefit Green AS, subsidiary of the state-owned Eesti Energia group.
In November 2019, Estonian real estate development, construction and wood industry group Kaamos Group acquired one-sixth of the shares in Sunly Land.
