Ansip called Tajikistan to make investments in logistics in Estonia.

"In addition to developing political relations, we are interested in closer economic relations," said Ansip. He said that Tajikistan could locate a logistics centre servicing Tajik businesses in Estonia or build a terminal in some port. "Liberal business environment, a politically stable European Union member state and existence of infrastructure suitable for investments should guarantee good conditions for investments," said Ansip.

Tajikistan is Estonia's 105th trade partner but there is potential for development in many spheres like transport, IT and electronic surveillance devices.

In order to enliven the modest economic relations, the prime minister is accompanied by a 15-member business delegation, including representatives of for example Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Port of Tallinn, Repo Vabrikud, EVR Cargo AS, Sillamäe Port and several logistics companies.

Representatives of 50 Tajik companies participated at the forum, including large production companies, furniture factories logistics and transport firms, communications companies etc.

Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip started on Monday the working visit to Tajikistan to promote political and economic relations between the two states. Ansip returns to Estonia Wednesday evening.
