Estonia registers EU's third lowest gasoline price in early July

In early July 2014, the retail price for 95 octane gas in Latvia was EUR 1,345.75 per 1,000 liters – the fourth lowest price in the European Union, according to the European Commission's data on fuel prices in the EU. Estonia registered third lowest price and Lithuania – sixth, reports LETA.

The highest price for 95 octane gasoline was recorded in the Netherlands – EUR 1,767 per 1,000 liters. The lowest price was registered in Bulgaria – EUR 1,293.77 per 1,000 liters.

 

In Lithuania, 95 octane gasoline cost EUR 1,349.76 per 1,000 liters, the sixth lowest price in the EU, whereas in Estonia – EUR 1,330 per 1,000 liters, the third lowest price.

 

The average retail price for 95 octane gasoline in the EU was EUR 1,592.89 per 1,000 liters in early July, and EUR 1,618.92 per 1,000 liters in the euro area.

 

The retail price for diesel fuel in Latvia was EUR 1,285.50 per 1,000 liters – the fourth lowest in the EU.

 

The smallest diesel price was registered in Luxembourg – EUR 1,204.21 per 1,000 liters, whereas the highest – in Great Britain – EUR 1,715.92 per 1,000 liters.

 

Diesel price in Estonia was EUR 1,281 per 1,000 liters, the third lowest in the EU, in Lithuania – EUR 1,277.60 per 1,000 liters – the second lowest.

 

The average diesel price in the EU was EUR 1,427.51 per 1,000 liters, in the eurozone – EUR 1,399.42 per 1,000 liters.
