Butkevicius highlighted that the results of this cooperative work were to draw the first breath in the short run. The prime minister of Lithuania declared that the program for the reduction of the youth unemployment was to be introduced before long.

"I have not heard this declaration. The Government is concentrated on this issue. I have to say that the meetings with the minister of Social Security and Labour are taking place every week. Moreover, the work with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Education and Sciences is taking place as well. We are trying to coordinate our work," said Butkevicius after the sitting of the Cabinet on Wednesday.

According to Butkevicius, the work of the Government and the ministries related to the reduction of the youth unemployment was going to an end.

"The Government prepared one program for the problem of the youth unemployment to be solved. The program is to integrate other ministries. As far as I know, the preparation of the program is coming to an end and we hope that it will be presented in September," said the prime minister of Lithuania.

As reported, Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaite declared that the more active cooperation of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Education and Sciences was need.

"Young people need not the paper but the real skills and jobs. While the ministries are trying to find the person or organization to blame for the youth unemployment, the business takes up all the responsibilities. The reform of the training of the professionals in Lithuania is needed because the professional workers cooperating with business are need for Lithuania," said Grybauskaite.
