Estonia registers EU's fourth lowest gasoline price in December

At the beginning of December 2012, the retail price for 95 octane gas in Latvia was EUR 1,381.59 per 1,000 liters, including taxes, which is the eighth lowest price in the European Union, according to the European Commission's data on fuel prices across the EU.

In Lithuania, 95 octane gasoline cost EUR 1,397.20 per 1,000 liters, which was the 9th lowest price in the EU, whereas in Estonia – EUR 1,324 per 1,000 liters, the fourth lowest price.

 

According to the Commission's data as of December 3, the highest price for 95 octane gasoline was recorded in the Netherlands – EUR 1,755 per 1,000 liters. On the other hand, the lowest price was registered in Romania – EUR 1,238.74 per 1,000 liters, writes LETA.

 

The average retail price for 95 octane gasoline in the EU was EUR 1,583.68 on December 3, and EUR 1,604.52 per 1,000 liters in the euro area.

 

The retail price for diesel fuel in Latvia, including taxes, was EUR 1,381.59 per 1,000 liters – the ninth lowest in the EU.

 

The smallest diesel price was registered in Luxembourg, EUR 1,257.88, whereas the highest in Great Britain – EUR 1,737.06 per 1,000 liters.

 

Diesel price in Estonia was EUR 1,399 per 1,000 liters, the 10th lowest in the EU, whereas in Lithuania EUR 1,323.31 – third lowest.

 

The average diesel price in the EU was EUR 1,485.83, and in the eurozone – EUR 1,464.76 per 1,000 liters.
