99.3% Lithuanian companies used broadband internet in early 2012

99.3% of companies used broadband internet and more than half (53.8%) of all companies connected to the Internet via digital subscriber lines (DSL), 40.7% via Fiber optical communication lines and 32.9% used other fixed connections such as cable, leased line and others, writes LETA/ELTA.
Wireless Internet access was used by 62.9% of companies. The majority (51.3%) used wireless broadband.
52.1% of companies used mobile network operators and 46.9% of them preferred portable computers while 39.2% other portable devices.
71.2% of manufacturing and service companies had the Internet web page or site in 2012 whereas in 2011 the rate was 67.7%.
38.9% of enterprises presented the catalogues and price lists of their goods and services on their web page, 19.7% provided the opportunity to book, reserve or purchase products, 16% informed about job vacancies or provided the opportunity to apply for a job.
