Foreign trade deficit of Lithuania amounted to LTL 0.8 bln in November

In November 2011, compared to October, exports grew by 1.5%; it was influenced by an increase in exports of fertilisers – by 29.6%, electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof – 17.5%. Imports increased by 0.3%; it was influenced by an increase in imports of boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof – by 16.2%. Exports of goods, mineral products excluded, grew by 1.6, imports – 0.5%. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 0.3%, mineral products excluded – 0.8%.
In November 2011, compared to November 2010, exports grew by 17.8%; it was influenced by an increase in exports of petroleum products – by 49.4%, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof – 32.8%. Imports increased by 14.8%; it was influenced by an increase in imports of crude oil – by 19.3%, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof – 10.9%. Exports of goods, mineral products excluded, grew by 9.8, imports – 12.1%. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin increased by 17.9%, mineral products excluded – 7.3%.
In January–November 2011, compared to the same period in 2010, exports and imports increased by 30.9 and 30.5% respectively. An increase in exports was influenced by an increase in exports of petroleum products – by 42.9%, ground vehicles – 48%, and fertilisers – 67.1%. An increase in imports was influenced by an increase in imports of crude oil – by 34.3%, ground vehicles – 54%, and boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof – 32.6%. Exports of goods, mineral products excluded, grew by 27.2, imports – 26.5%. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin increased by 26.8%, mineral products excluded – 21.5%.
In January–November 2011, the most important partners in exports were Russia (16.2%), Latvia (10.2%), Germany (9.2%), and Poland (7.1%), in imports – Russia (32.9%), Germany (9.8%), Poland (9.1%), and Latvia (6.6%).
In January–November 2011, the largest share in exports fell within mineral products (25.7%), machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment (10.1%), products of the chemical or allied industries (9.2%), in imports – mineral products (35.2%), machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment (12%), products of the chemical or allied industries (10.4%).
