Lithuania's 9-month GDP down 1.4%

Lithuania's seasonally and calendar adjusted gross domestic product shrank 1.4% to 35.9 billion euros in the first three quarters of 2020, compared to January-September, 2019, writes LETA/BNS.
In the third quarter, the GDP stood at 13.1 billion euros, based on the prices of that time, and rose a seasonally and calendar adjusted 3.7%, from April-June, Lithuania's statistics service, Statistics Lithuania, said on Friday.

Based on the production method, the results of retail and wholesale (1.9%), industrial (0.9%) and construction (0.2%) companies had a positive effect on the GDP change.
In the third quarter year-on-year, Lithuania's economy contracted 1.7%.
