BC, Vilnius, 03.08.2020.Print version
Fitch Ratings has affirmed Lithuania's long-term credit rating at A with a stable outlook, informs LETA/BNS.
"This reaffirms that, internationally, Lithuania is considered a very reliable and responsible state whose decisions are trusted," Finance Minister Vilius Sapoka said in a press release.
Fitch Ratings said the sable outlook reflects "a degree of economic resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic owing to an improvement in external finances (...), a stable banking sector and a track record of fiscal prudence".
The international credit rating agency upgraded Lithuania's rating to A, from A-, last January.
The country is rated A+ with a stable outlook by Standard & Poor's, A3 with a positive outlook by Moody's, and A with a stable outlook by DBRS Morningstar.
