Annual inflation in Lithuania made 0.9% in July

Renata Paškevičienė, Statistics Lithuania, Vilnius, 30.07.2020.Print version
The annual (July 2020, compared to July 2019) inflation provisional estimate calculated based on the HICP stands at 0.9 per cent. This was mainly influenced by an increase in prices for healthcare, various goods and services, as well as a decrease in prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, transport goods and services.

Due to restrictions imposed on registration of prices during the quarantine period, about 0.2 per cent of prices failed to be collected, they will be evaluated by applying mathematic methods. In the final statistical information on July, groups of goods and services with lower confidence in price indices and changes will bear the corresponding mark.

Statistical information on the August 2020 inflation provisional estimate calculated based on the HICP is due on 27 August 2020.
