The average after-tax monthly salary rose to 822.1 euros in Lithuania

The average pre-tax monthly salary rose by 8.8% in Lithuania last year to 1,296 euros, writes LETA/BNS, according to the latest figures released by the country's statistics office, Statistics Lithuania, on May 27th.
Pre-tax wages jumped 12.3% to 1,370 euros in the public sector and rose 7.3% to 1,264.5 euros in the private sector.
The average after-tax monthly salary rose 14.2% to 822.1 euros. It grew 17.6 percent to 864.4 euros in the public sector and 12.7% to 803.8 euros in the private sector.
The statistics are adjusted for labor taxation changes that took effect in early 2019.
