Investment in Lithuania's manufacturing industry down in 2017

Print versionInvestments in Lithuania's manufacturing industry saw a slight decline this year, while the majority of heads of manufacturing companies do not expect the investments to change in 2018, shows a survey published by Statistics Lithuania, cites LETA/BNS.

Some 43% of the interviewed executives of industrial companies said their
investments had gone down this year, 39% said they had increased and 5% of
companies made no investments at all (respective numbers for 2016 were 38%, 40%
and 6%).
The majority of corporate executives (72%) predict the investments to
remain unchanged in 2018, while 17% said they would go up, 5% expect them to
decline and 6% plan no investments.
