Google, Swedbank, Facebook named most popular brands in Baltics

Google, Swedbank, Facebook and Maxima are currently the most popular brands in the Baltic States, a survey by TNS Emor research agency shows, cites LETA.

The four brands were named among Top-10 brands in all three Baltic States, TNS Emor representatives told LETA.

 

Swedbank emerged as the most popular brand in Latvia, favored by 15% of respondents in this Baltic country, followed by local sweets producer Laima with 14% and Apple IT giant with 10%.

 

9% of respondents in Latvia said they liked Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) mobile operator, Facebook, Maxima and Samsung, while 8% named Google, Bite mobile operator and Rimi retailer as their favorite brands.

 

In Lithuania, the most popular brands are Google and Facebook, favored by 17% of respondents. Maxima retail company and Gmail followed with 13% each.

 

12% of respondents in Lithuania said they liked Samsung, 11% named Youtube, 10% Tele2 mobile operator, 8% Nike sportswear brand and 8% named Apple, while 7% of the surveyed Lithuanians named Swedbank as their favorite brand.

 

In Estonia, the most popular brands include Kalev sweets producer, Google and Youtube (14%), Skype, ETV and Gmail (11%), Swedbank and Facebook (10%), as well as Maxima and Telia (9%).

 

The survey on the most popular brands in the Baltic states was carried out from January to April, polling 1,000 respondents, aged 15 to 65, in each country. The survey included 150 brands represented in each country.

 

Last year, the most popular brands in the Baltic states included Google, Swedbank and Maxima.

Latvia’s Top-10 included Swedbank, Laima, Apple, Google, LMT, Lido catering company, Maxima, Rimi, Karums sweets brand and Liepkalni bakery.
