WorkingDay: share of employees receiving illegal wages in Latvia drops 2%

Print versionIn 2015, 6% of employees in Latvia received illegal wages, down 2% from a year ago, informs LETA, according to a poll conducted by WorkingDay Latvia recruitment portal.

6% of respondents gave an affirmative answer to a question whether they receive a part of their wage or full wage illegally, which is by 2 percentage points less than a year ago or by 7 percentage points lees than in 2008.
In 2014 and 2013, the affirmative answer was given by 8% of polled employees, compared to 10% in 2012, 10% in 2011, 12% in 2010, 12% in 2009, and 13% in 2008.
WorkingDay Latvia, founded in 2006, has a share capital of EUR 2,844. The company is owned by three individuals. In 2014, the company posts EUR 276,708 in turnover and EUR 1,275 in profit.
