New alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) registrations in Lithuania almost doubled in 2015, but their number remained among the lowest in the European Union, figures from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) showed on Monday, cites LETA/BNS.

A total of 326 new electric vehicles, hybrid cars and natural gas powered cars were registered in Lithuania in 2015, up 97.6% from 165 in 2014.
