Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on the data from the survey on ICT use in households, in I quarter 2015, 68% of households (1) had personal computers and Internet access at home. Over the year, the proportion of households having personal computers and Internet access at home increased by 2 percentage points.

Urban and rural households having computers at home accounted for 70 and 62% respectively, Internet access – 71 and 63% respectively.

Almost all (99%) households with Internet access at home used broadband connection. 88% of households having Internet access at home used broadband wired or wireless fixed connection, 31% – mobile phone networks.

Two-thirds (67%) of households not having Internet access at home pointed out that they did not need it. Other important reasons for not using the Internet at home were lack of skills, expensive equipment, access costs too high, or possibility to use the Internet elsewhere.
