97% Lithuania's residents watch TV

A total of 97.1% of residents of Lithuania have at least one TV set at home, 32% have two TV sets, while more than every tenth household in the country has three or more TV sets. 96.8% said that they watch TV, informs LETA/ELTA.

Meanwhile, 2.9% of those polled said that did not own a TV, an establishment survey conducted by the market research company TNS LT revealed.

 

As every year, the number of Lithuanians who own an LCD, plasma or LED television (59%) was growing in 2014. In the second half of 2014, as many as 23% of Lithuania's households had Smart TV sets with an access to the Internet. However, more than half of Smart TV owners did not use the smart functions of their televisions.

 

The TNS LT survey was carried out in 2014, a total of 5,084 representatives of households were surveyed.
