The cost calculations were carried out by the Transport Ministry, writes LETA.
As reported, the electronic voting system should be implemented before the summer of 2013, when local government elections will be held, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis (Unity) previously told members of the press.
The prime minister said that the main task is to implement the voting system as soon as possible.
Coalition parties intend to invite the head of the Central Election Commission Arnis Cimdars to discuss work on implementing the new voting system.
