38,000 Estonian domain names become available

Print versionEstonian Internet Foundation will release for use at noon on Wednesday nearly .ee 38,000 domain names, the owners of which have not shown enough interest towards them to reregister them in the new registry during the allocated 8 month period, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

The domain names will become available for anyone to register on the principle of “first come, first served”.
In order to register one of these domain names, the application has to be submitted to one of the registry keepers listed at the Estonian Internet Foundation web page www.eesti-internet.ee.
The foundation stressed that before submitting the registration application, the applier has to be convinced that they do not violate rights of third persons by registering the domain name.
