Lattelecom signs agreement with Eurosport for broadcasting of 2018 and 2020 Olympics

Print versionLatvian cable television provider Lattelecom has signed a cooperation agreement with the European sports network Eurosport for extensive broadcasting rights for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan, LETA was informed by Lattelecom.

The agreement is the largest in Lattelecom's
history, and foresees the broadcast of the game not only on the Eurosport channels, but also three
additional ''pop-up'' channels for the Winter Olympics, and at least seven
''pop-up'' channels for the Summer Olympics.
Lattelecom has also purchased the right to broadcast the games 24/7 on its on-line
format Shortcut TV.
Latvian Television will also be broadcasting the 2018 and 2020 Olympics.
