Part of e-veseliba project implemented by the same company that was behind skolas.lv portal
EUR 6,917,418 has been invested in the development of e-veseliba so far, and the last part of the project will cost another EUR 4,720,980.
The first three e-veseliba projects were completed last year. The electronic system of patient cards cost EUR 3,492,178. Part of the project was carried out by the Datorzinibu centrs company. The same company, in partnership with E-Synergy, were the ones that were developing the skolas.lv portal, in which the state lost a total of EUR 3.5 million.
The second e-veseliba project, also completed last year, involved development of an electronic bookings system and public health portal. It cost EUR 2,985,120 and it was implemented by Lattelecom Technology.
The third e-veseliba project of electronic prescriptions information system was implemented by In-volv, it cost EUR 440,118.
The fourth project, currently in development by Lattelecom, involves development of integrated e-health information systems. This project will cost EUR 4,720,980.
At the moment, 25 healthcare institutions, pharmacies, and general practitioners participate in testing e-veseliba projects. e-veseliba was originally anticipated to commence on January 1 next year.
As reported, the National Health Service is currently in talks with the Finance Ministry and Central Finance and Contracting Agency on prolonging the deadline for implementation of the e-veseliba project. In the meantime, the Education and Science Ministry has turned to the Prosecutor General's Office requesting an assessment of the performance of the www.skolas.lv project manager.
