Retail trade turnover grew by 2.6% in January

Calendar adjusted data (at constant prices) compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to January 2019, in January 2020 total retail trade turnover rose by 2.6 %. Turnover of retail trade in food products grew by 4.4%. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 4.7%, but turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – fell by 7.2%.

Data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that in 2019, as compared to 2018, the economic growth continued and gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 2.2%. In 2019, GDP at current prices amounted to EUR 30.5 bn.

Eesti Energia's net profit EUR 23.2 mln in 2019

The total revenue of Estonia's state-owned energy generating and distribution group Eesti Energia in 2019 hit an all-time high of almost 1.02 bin euros, marking the first time that the group's annual revenue has crossed the one billion euro mark, while net profit fell 78% to 23.2 mln euros, informed Eesti Energia`s representative.
