BC, Riga, 06.03.2020.Print version
Due to the new coronavirus Covid-19, national airline airBaltic has made a decision to cancel 90 flights in addition to reducing a number of flights between Riga and Milan from March 23 to April 5, therefore its overall capacity will decrease by 4% during the period, reported LETA.

airBaltic Senior Vice President of Network Management Wolfgang Reuss explains that, as the outlook for the short-term forward bookings has not improved, the airline is taking proactive measures and adjusting its flight schedule to reduce costs and maintain high level of efficiency.

Passengers who have bookings for the affected flights will be contacted individually to offer them travel alternatives.

Passengers affected on flights to Milan until May 31 will be offered to rebook their reservations free of charge to Milan or another airBaltic destination in the vicinity - Zurich, Geneva, Munich or Vienna.

Until March 23, airBaltic currently plans to continue operating flights from Riga to Milan and Verona according to the planned schedule.
